Prevest Fusion Bond 7 – Light Curing Self Etching One Component Bonding Adhesive

Fusion Bond 7 is a light-curing self-etching one-component bonding adhesive developed for professional dental use. It combines the ingredients required for etching, priming, and bonding into one adhesive, simplifying the bonding procedure by eliminating separate etching and priming steps.

The adhesive is indicated for direct applications including light-cured composite and compomer restorations, composite/ceramic/metal repairs, cavity sealing for amalgam restorations, and light-cured or dual-cured core build-ups. For dual-cured core materials, the manufacturer specifies that the material must always be light activated.

For indirect applications, Fusion Bond 7 is indicated for veneers; porcelain, composite, and metal-based inlays, onlays, crowns, and bridges; endodontic posts; and cavity sealing as a pretreatment for indirect restorations. When used with indirect restorations, it is used in conjunction with a luting cement.

The adhesive contains HEMA Phosphate, Urethane Dimethacrylate, Triethylene Glycol Dimethacrylate, Bisphenol A Diglycidyl Methacrylate, 2-Hydroxy Ethyl Methacrylate, Water, Tertiary Butanol, Photoinitiators, and Stabilizer.

For Direct Restorations and Bonding to Enamel/Dentin

1. Prepare the cavity and wash thoroughly with water spray.
2. Air dry without desiccating the tooth structure.
3. For optimal adhesion, bevel all enamel and/or margins before applying Fusion Bond 7.
4. Shake the adhesive bottle briefly. For first use, vigorously shake the bottle for 20–30 seconds.
5. Dispense 2–3 drops of adhesive into a clean well and replace the bottle cap immediately.
6. Using a disposable applicator brush, apply a generous amount of adhesive to the enamel/dentin surface.
7. Scrub the surface with a brushing motion for 20 seconds.
8. Apply a second layer and scrub again for 20 seconds.
9. Dry the adhesive using gentle air first, followed by medium air for at least 5 seconds using oil-free air.
10. Light cure for 20–30 seconds.
11. Apply the composite according to the composite manufacturer’s instructions.

For Indirect Restorations

1. Clean the prepared surface thoroughly with water spray and air dry without desiccating.
2. Shake the Fusion Bond 7 bottle briefly. For first use in this procedure, the manufacturer specifies vigorous shaking for 10 seconds.
3. Dispense 2–3 drops into a clean well and replace the cap immediately.
4. Apply a generous amount to the enamel/dentin surface using a disposable applicator brush.
5. Scrub for 20 seconds.
6. Apply a second application and scrub for another 20 seconds.
7. Dry using gentle air followed by medium air for at least 5 seconds with oil-free air.
8. Avoid pooling of the adhesive before curing.
9. Light cure for 20–30 seconds.

• Fusion Bond 7 is intended solely for professional dental use.

• Store at 10°C–24°C and keep away from moisture.

• Close the bottle cap carefully immediately after dispensing the adhesive.

• The manufacturer states that shelf life is not affected after opening when the product is stored in a cool, dry place.

• Shelf life is 3 years from the date of manufacturing.

• Do not use the product in patients known to be allergic to any of its ingredients.

• Do not use with purely self-curing composite materials. Dual-curing materials must be light activated.

• Do not use for direct pulp capping.

• The material is an irritant. Avoid contact with skin, mucous membranes, and eyes.

• In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and water.

• In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician or ophthalmologist.

• Dispose of the material according to the prevailing rules of the country where it is used.
